Who Are The Rockets

Mission

The mission of Lincoln Rockets Softball is to provide young girls the opportunity to tryout and play for an organization that is dedicated to teaching the game of Fastpitch Softball through a strict focus on the sport’s fundamentals.

Our club will field teams where the coaches are required to undergo a thorough background check and obtain coaching certificates through the USA ACE Certification process.

​

Each team will learn about teamwork, pride, respect and the proper etiquette of the sport. Respect for their coaches, parents, umpires and opponents are expected, not the exception for our organization. No one player in our organization will take precedence over the team.

The Lincoln Rockets set annual team goals and we all work hard to achieve them. Wearing a Rocket uniform brings along with it a responsibility to our teammates, coaches, fans and community.  Each one of us are proud to represent Lincoln and our surrounding communities.

Code of Conduct

The Lincoln Rockets is a non-profit, volunteer based community organization focused on player development in a healthy and respectful environment. Here is our organizational code of conduct.

• Winning is not central to our focus.

  • The wins will come naturally if we are committed to doing our part as teachers and mentors, and the players are committed to hard work and self improvement.

  • Practices & Games should be competitive in nature, because that is the environment we live in, but each player’s individual hard work and dedication should be rewarded with the opportunity to play

  • Actively participate in the personal development of responsible young men and women

    • Safety & well-being is our paramount objective

    • To treat each player respectfully, fairly and honestly

    • Encourage each player and tailor specific activities towards their individual skill set, competitive abilities and attitude

    • Skill improvement via focus on the sport’s fundamentals and individual player attention

    • Foster team unity

    • Conduct ourselves as responsible role models – We are active and positive members of our local community

      • Be conscious of our judgment and actions, and how they impact our city, community and member
